The Best Business Podcasts: Our Top 6 Picks

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links.

Unless you work for a fully remote company (which is more and more likely as our lives continue to evolve towards shunning office life), you probably have at least a short commute. At Industry Fuel, we like to take advantage of this time by listening to the best business podcasts that we can find.

Naturally, there are thousands of business podcasts available which discuss a wide breadth of industries and niches. The business podcast format is convenient, informative, and can help you level up your game, no matter what stage of your career (or entrepreneurial journey) you are.

Some of the best business podcasts include:

  • Entrepreneurs on Fire

    • Number of Episodes: 2,250+
    • EOF Website
    • Itunes Link

John Lee Dumas (JD) and his wife Kate are extraordinarily prolific podcasters with awards to prove the quality (not just quantity) of Entrepreneurs on Fire. Among the 2,250+ episodes of EOF, they interview some incredibly notable individuals, including Lewis Howes, Tony Robbins, Seth Godin, and Tim Ferriss. EOF also provides excellent show notes, which include the transcript of the episode for easy referencing later.

    Some highlighted episodes:

The best way to browse their podcast episodes is to go to the interviews section of their site (https://mixergy.com/interviews/) and select from the category you’re interested in. Alternatively, the search function on their site works great as well.

This not-for-profit, subsidiary of Harvard University has been creating incredibly insightful content that continually gives us reason to pause and think. The HBR Ideacast podcast is undoubtedly no different. If you need a podcast that will stimulate the way you think about the management of your business, employee relations, or the hundreds of other topics they discuss, you’ll not want to miss out on HBR Ideacast.

Patt Flynn is a notable internet marketing thought leader who originally started his career in architecture. However, the economic downturn of 2008 caused him to be laid off from his job. Being laid-off is a traumatic enough experience alone, much less when the industry that you had chosen for a career faces a massive downswing. As a way of preparing for a prestigious industry certification, Patt built a blog to organize his notes. The blog became more popular and provided a viable method for him to start a journey into entrepreneurship. Patt is a perfect example of an individual who started a business that “scratched his own itch.” After this, he created Smart Passive Income, which chronicled his progress on his own ventures. He has since published multiple books and is well respected for his insights (and transparency – check out his “income reports”).
